Note:
On MGA cars, as original, the front shock absorber is a close fit under the sheet metal of the inner wing. With the body in place, it may be difficult to remove the shock absorber without removing some or all of the studs. It is possible to use coarse threaded hex head bolts in place of the studs, if you are careful to get the bolts exactly the right length for the space allowed. Do not forget the lockwasher, as it will be part of the allowed stack height. For more information on this substitution see suspension tech article FS-117.
