The MGA With An Attitude

High water marker and Yukon Trading Post at Circle. The town has been flooded more times that you care to count. They finally seem to be getting the idea that they should rebuild on high ground.

To the left of the building with the trading post (and postoffice, cafe, and tavern) is a large gravel parking lot. A block down the street there is a gas station with a large gravel drive. Several homes here also have large gravel driveways. We finally caught on about half past midnight, when a small private airplane fired up the engine, taxied out of the trading post lot and down the street to the gas station to fuel up. It then taxied down the road a half mile to the airstrip and took off. It seems like there may be more airplanes in this town than cars.
